Prior to our trip to Eastern Europe (2011) we spent several days in Paris.  We loved Paris and hope to go back soon.

Video slides of both Paris and London are below.  I think we spent nearly a week in each city.  Definitely easy to get around using public transportation–the Tube and the Metro and buses went everywhere we wanted to go.  Lots of walking, and some of the subway stops involve lots of steps.  Food, museums, sights and sounds are amazing.

Similarly, we went to London prior to our Turkey (2012) adventure.  The weather was not the greatest, I thought that the prices were high, and I just didn’t like London as well even though we are English speaking and only know a few words in French.  I had been to both cities many years ago–Paris was my favorite then.  There were a few places that I liked such as the British Museum and Westminster Abbey, but the Tower of London was just very crowded, and we didn’t want to wait in the long lines.
