Shortly after I retired from my teaching job–in 2004, Kathy and I decided to visit my longtime mate Rags (AKA Mike Lembach) and his wife Janet.   Mike passed away more than a year ago, but we had been friends and Sig Ep brothers since we began college in 1960.

Many photos from the trip have been set to slides, and will be organized under sub-headings.

Our trip was exceptional for “Americans”; we were able to spend a month in Australia.  Jan still lives in their home in Kingsford, NSW.  We were able to catch a bus on Anzac Blvd a short distance from their home. We took several trips to Circular Quay and from there were able to take ferries or walk to many attractions of Sydney.

We then took a road trip to Sussex Inlet—their Holiday House that was South of Sydney. From there we ventured to Canberra and then to the Blue Mountains and back to Sydney.

Our next journey was a flight to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef. Kathy and I were both certified for skin diving on Fitzroy Island. We then took several excursions in nearby Kuranda State Forest and then back to Sydney.
